Called my servicer today. I was terrified but they actually walked me through an income-driven plan. Payment dropped from $310 to $74. Don't be afraid to make the call.
Welcome! I am looking forward to hearing more about your journey toward financial freedom!
To the person who posted last week about being scared to open the mail, I did it too because of you. Thank you for being brave first.
Question for the group, has anyone tried a debt management plan through a nonprofit counselor? Curious what the actual experience was like vs the sales pitch.
Feeling overwhelmed this week. My hours got cut and I'm not sure how I'll make minimums. Anyone been here and made it through?
Reminder for anyone reading this who feels behind: you showed up today. That's not nothing. That's the first step everyone else skipped.
Just paid off my smallest credit card today. It was only $340 but seeing that balance hit zero made me cry happy tears. Small wins count.
Paid off my first account this month. $1,200 gone. I keep the screenshot on my phone for the days I want to give up.
Three months ago I couldn't look at my total. Today I know my number, I have a plan, and I took my first action. Momentum is real.
Checking in. Had to use my emergency cushion for a car repair. Hard to see it go but that's literally what it was for. Rebuilding it now.
Day 30 of no new debt. Wasn't sure I'd make it. The urge to swipe was real but I rode it out. One month at a time.
Tip that helped me: I set up a tiny $25 weekly auto-transfer to savings. I don't even notice it's gone, and three months in I have $300. Start ridiculously small.
My Jubilee coach helped me see that my car payment was the thing strangling me every month. Looking into refinancing now. Grateful for the clarity.
Made a budget for the first time ever. Turns out I was spending $180/month on delivery apps. Cutting that alone frees up a payment. Wild.
Honest moment: I avoided my mail for six months because I was scared of what was inside. Opening it all today. Facing it feels lighter than hiding.
I didn't realize there was a difference between secured and unsecured debt, nor did I realize that there were companies that specialized one or the other. I feel like I saved so much time and I'm excited to work with my trusted provider.
This snapshot was very helpful.
The user friendly assessment was easy to use and the resources provided are tailored to my needs. Thanks Jubilee!
This was actually really helpful for getting a clearer picture of where I stand financially. It makes things a lot easier to understand without feeling overwhelming, and itβs a solid starting point if youβre trying to build better financial habits and figure out your next steps.
Jubilee was easy to use and the assessment has allowed me to review several options to reduce debt.
